Waterjet cutting using a high-pressure waterjet is established process for cutting materials. Waterjet cutting can be used for a wide variety of purposes. Different processes are deployed for the different materials, e.g. pure waterjet cutting and abrasive waterjet cutting. One significant advantage compared to conventional cutting methods is that no heat is generated during cutting. Despite a pressure of about 4,000 bar in major cases, the material being cut doesn’t have any heat damage.
